To launch my series, I created portraits of women who have profoundly influenced my life and the feminist movement, including bell hooks, Frida Kahlo, and Malala Yousafzai. My work combines elements of pop art and impressionism, drawing inspiration from the lives and legacies of my subjects to inform each composition. Currently a work in progress, my second instalment takes inspiration from Renaissance art, reimagined with modern pop art colour palettes. These pieces celebrate the beauty of the female body while censoring areas historically weaponised by the patriarchy.
